Oxforell Holiday Centre was established in 2002. Our goal is to offer our customers good food, comfortable lodging and exciting ways to spend their leisure time. In a word, a perfect vacation! We try to keep up with Estonia’s rapid development and become even better each year. We strive toward complete satisfaction with Oxforell’s services both among Estonians and tourists from abroad. We consider repeat visitors to be the greatest token of recognition, especially if you bring along your friends to this truly pleasant place!
You can celebrate your birthday here, or we can host your office party, seminar, wedding or just a day or a week off. Besides trout fishing, enjoy a canoe trip, paintball game or go swimming or relax in our different saunas. In winter, you can use our ski trails, which are just a stone’s throw away.
Oxforell Holiday Centre’s current location is well known from history as well. The first record of Kose-Uuemõisa dates to 1340, as “Nova Curia”. Kose-Uuemõisa is one of the oldest manors in Estonia. The Kose parish of yore was one of the most active spots during the St. George’s Night uprising in the 14th century and the events from the Livonian War are well-known to history buffs as well. From the middle of the 17th century, the manor estate belonged to the von Tiesenhausens. In 1850 it became the possession of the von Uuexküll family, who built the main building that survives today. Its last owner at the time of the 1919 land reform was Natalja von Uexküll. The old palace now is home to the Kosejõe kool and the Kose-Uuemõisa Local History Museum. Kose-Uuemõisa is graced by a park, also established last century, boasting over 80 species of trees and shrubs and a hundred species of birds. According to folk legend, the pond was excavated in one night at the landlord’s orders for his wife’s birthday.
